Howdy!

I’m Julie Nguyen, a product designer who created intuitive and accessible digital and physical experiences for 4+ years as a teacher, and now I get to do it as a designer!

I specialize in the intersection of human-centered design and learning and believe that digital tools should be as inclusive as they are engaging.

By auditing for accessibility from day one and leveraging behavioral hooks, I ensure that diverse learner populations stay motivated and in control of their own learning. Whether it’s K-12 or adult upskilling, I design for the friction-less acquisition of knowledge and help companies take gamification to the next level to create deep, memorable learning experiences.

    I do extensive user research through white paper research, competivive analysis, qualititative and quantitative resesarch, A/B testing, and much more! Understanding business goals and user goals is key to my design process.

    Designing

    I love doing UX design through journey mapping, wireframing, and lots more. I use a variety of design tools, such as paper and pen, Figma, FigJam, and Miro, to name a few, to help ideas come to life. I design with users and acessibility at the forefront.

    Prototyping & Testing

    I create prototypes to test with users through moderated and unmoderated user testing, user interviews, and surveys to gain user feedback and then iterate based off the feedback to create even better products. Iteration makes for better ideas!
